Bahrain
Economia Bahrainului este una dintre cele mai diversificate din Golful Persic, găzduind multe multinaţionale, datorită facilităţilor de comunicare şi sistemului de transport foarte dezvoltate. Statul a fost primul din Golf care a implementat un acord de liber schimb cu Statele Unite, în august 2006. Cu toate acestea, economia Bahrainului continuă să depindă puternic de petrol, sector care contează cu peste 60% în veniturile din export, 70% din veniturile bugetare şi 11% din PIB. Alte ramuri economice importante sunt producţia de aluminiu, finanţele şi consumul. Bahrainul concurează cu Malaysia la poziţia de centru mondial pentru sectorul bancar islamic.
